On Oct. 6 in downtown Ithaca, N.Y. the Community School of Music and Arts came alive with vibrancy, beauty and a celebration of heritage. In addition to several other events that occurred during Hispanic Heritage month this year in Ithaca, an art exhibition took place featuring local Hispanic and Latinx artists.

In 2022, we embarked on a journey to celebrate the rich tapestry of Latinx culture by organizing our first Latinx Heritage Fiesta. The overwhelming success of the inaugural event left us eager to make it an annual tradition. Despite the challenges posed by the weather, the 2nd Annual Latinx Heritage Fiesta held in the Press Bay parking lot surpassed our expectations, showcasing the resilience and vibrancy of our community.
